Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic person to join our leadership team as the High School Assistant Principal. The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic who embodies the values of our faith, possesses strong leadership skills, and is committed to creating a positive school culture. Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership and oversight in maintaining a safe, respectful, and disciplined school environment. Collaborate with the Principal to develop and implement school policies and procedures. Support and supervise teachers and staff with respect to student life. Foster a culture of academic excellence, student achievement, and continuous improvement. Manage student discipline, attendance, and behavioral issues in accordance with school policies and Catholic teachings. Serve as a liaison between students, parents, teachers, and the school community. Organize and participate in special school events, clubs, and activities. To supervise and keep all records pertaining to student behavior while implementing the regulations in the Student Handbook and to assign consequences for violations. To be an active and visible presence during the school day. To work with the Athletic Director to monitor the conduct of student-athletes. Consult with Social Worker and Guidance Counselors concerning student issues. Qualifications: Master's degree in education, administration, or related field. Valid NYS SBL certification. Practicing Catholic with a deep understanding and commitment to Catholic teachings and values. Previous experience in educational leadership, such as Dean, Assistant Principal, or similar role preferred. Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of educational best practices, curriculum development, and assessment. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and build positive relationships. Salary range: Based on years of experience, education and certifications.
