Are you watching podcasts on YouTube more than you’d like to admit? Then you may be perfect for this role. Betches Media is looking for a video podcast producer to add to our team.

Betches Media is seeking a Video Podcast Producer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will be passionate and obsessed with creating high-quality and highly shareable video podcast products, with the ability to manage every step of the production process, from conceptualization to post-production and distribution. They should also be familiar with social trends and have excellent news judgement in order to keep up with the latest in pop culture and align with Betches editorial calendars.

You will play a key role in working with the podcast and social teams to develop innovative ideas, source compelling guests, and create visually dynamic content that resonates with our diverse audience — both when it comes to our podcast content itself, and when it comes to video content surrounding our shows (i.e. social clips and promotion.).

As the Video Podcast Producer, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of video podcast episodes across multiple shows, collaborating with hosts, guests, and the social team to ensure the highest quality and most engaging and shareable content.

This role will report into the Associate Director of Podcasts at Betches .

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day production of assigned video podcasts, including guest sourcing, outline writing, episode planning, filming, and work closely with editors on post production and creating shareable social assets.
• Lead creative on each episode, keeping in mind editorial calendars, trending topics, and segments that will look good on video and perform well on social.
• Work closely with the podcast and social teams to brainstorm and implement new segments, show ideas, and other creative concepts.
• Prepare hosts and guests for each episode, including ideating episode topics, creating show outlines, and ensuring smooth recording sessions.
• Work directly with editors to create dynamic long-form content that engages across video platforms.
• Lead creative strategy surrounding the reach and engagement of your shows, including working with editors to select and create the most engaging social clips possible.
• Create engaging video content for your podcast by crafting interesting, concise, and creative segments that can be easily repurposed for branding purposes.
• Collaborate with social teams to ensure timely release and promotion of video podcast episodes across platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
• Handle technical aspects of video and audio recording, ensuring optimal production quality. Troubleshoot any equipment or software issues that arise during production.
• Keep track of production timelines, episode release schedules, and deadlines to ensure smooth workflow across multiple podcasts.

Qualifications

• At least 3+ experience in producing and editing video podcasts or similar content.
• Familiarity with video and audio recording equipment, lighting setups, and hosting platforms (e.g., Megaphone, YouTube).
• Ability to conceptualize and produce visually engaging video content, with an eye for detail and storytelling.
• An eye for what works on social media, what clips would perform best, and how to create a viral moment.
• Excellent news judgment.
• Strong skills in creating episode outlines, scripts, and managing production schedules.
• Familiarity with and enthusiasm for the Betches podcast network, especially in lifestyle, wellness, and humor-based content.
• Experience sourcing and coordinating with diverse, high-profile guests who will bring interesting perspectives to the show.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with hosts, guests, and other team members, communicating clearly and efficiently.
• Experience in developing and implementing strategies to promote podcasts and expand their reach.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure, handle shifting priorities, and meet deadlines.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this role is between $40 - $65.
