1. Own the operation of the test and validation labs.
2. Work with facilities teams to ensure proper services for existing and new equipment.
3. Manage calibration and maintenance schedules of equipment.
4. Manage relationships with external test houses to ensure proper testing capabilities and timelines.
5. Oversee the tasks and responsibilities of Engineering Technicians.
6. Work with the test and validation team to build automated test equipment and harnesses for electronics, based on schematics and work instructions.
7. Operate software user interfaces to exercise test equipment during hardware bring up.
8. Validate systems functionality by using standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, power supplies and digital multimeters.
9. Fabricate special test equipment supporting development and validation testing of automotive electronic components.
10. Conduct environmental & electrical testing (thermal, vibration, climatic, corrosion).
11. Own calibration and mechanical setup of thermal and vibration chambers.
12. Troubleshoot, root cause, and document test equipment and harness failures.
13. Perform circuit board electronic modifications such as component rework, soldering/de-soldering of electronic components, etc.
14. Support commissioning of new systems.

1. Technical degree or relevant experience in electronics testing.
2. Able to read electrical schematics, drawings, and manufacturers’ product data sheets.
3. 15+ years of experience in electronics test and validation.
4. Experience using power tools.
5. Experience with soldering and circuit board re-work.
6. Experience with electrical testing using laboratory tools.
7. Ability to use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
8. Able to move/lift test boxes and instrumentation.
9. Hands-on approach: proactively identifies and fills in gaps where needed.
