Telework Information: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.

Our Test Automation team is currently seeking two Information Technology Specialist I - Test Automation Engineers to join our group of test automation professionals. We are passionate about software quality and seek detail-oriented, self-motivated team members to help us in our journey toward quality software and service to our members and IT colleagues.

Statement of Qualifications

Please provide a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for the hiring manager’s review. Applications received without an SOQ or those that do not respond to the specific questions below will not be considered.

The SOQ must be typed, titled “Statement of Qualifications,” and each response must be numbered and list all relevant experience, education, and training, including places of employment, dates, and duties performed. 1. Briefly relate your work experience to the Duty Statement and Desirable Qualifications for this position. Explain why you would be a good fit for our team.
2. Describe your process for authoring automated tests. If you have experience with both regression and performance test scripts, please describe your process for each type of test.
3. How do you analyze the results of test execution? What tools do you use for analysis? How can you identify flaky test cases, troubleshoot them, and make them more reliable?

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

• Experience in automated testing of computer software.
• Experience in performance testing of web applications and APIs.
• Experience with authoring, executing, and analyzing automated tests, as well as reporting test results.
• Experience in system testing of computer software, including requirements analysis and the writing and documentation of manual test cases.
• Background in computer programming or scripting.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with an emphasis on documentation, knowledge transfer, and collaboration.
• Ability to perform consistently and reliably as a team member.
