What You'll Be Doing:
Providing Remote Therapy: Deliver speech and language services to students in the Yakima school district via teletherapy.
Developing IEPs: Assist in the development and monitoring of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet individual student needs.
Collaborating with Teams: Participate in various meetings, including IEP, eligibility, evaluation, and placement meetings.
Implementing Therapy: Work directly with students to implement IEP goals and objectives.
Utilizing Assistive Technology: Evaluate, implement, and monitor augmentative communication devices.
Providing Focused Instruction: Plan and provide clear, intentionally focused instruction based on individual student IEP goals.
Creating Positive Learning Environments: Foster and manage a safe, positive learning environment.
Communicating with Families: Communicate and collaborate with parents and the school community.
Maintaining Accurate Records: Maintain and process accurate records and documents as required.
Directing Classified Staff: Direct the work of assigned classified staff.
Maintaining Compliance: Implement and comply with district policies and professional conduct.
What We're Looking For:
Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence.
Valid state-issued license to practice speech-language pathology in your state of residence.
Valid Washington state SLP license and Washington Educational Staff Associate Credential (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to address a variety of speech/language deficits.
Current knowledge of assistive technology.
Knowledge of applicable state and federal rules and regulations.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently.
Valid State driver's license or reliable transportation.

Competitive pay: $55 - $58 per hour (W-2 hourly rate).
