**Compensation:** $26.44 to $43 per hour
**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our funded loans comply with our underwriting policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. You will be responsible for conducting thorough reviews and audits of loans, compiling insightful reports, and collaborating with various departments to address any findings. Additionally, you will work closely with third-party diligence and audit firms to ensure all necessary documentation is provided and any issues are resolved.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of funded loans to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Create and maintain detailed Quality Control reports to track findings and trends.
- Prepare in-depth reports summarizing loan review findings, including identified deficiencies and recommended corrective actions.
- Report and escalate discrepancies to relevant business units for resolution and clarification.
- Maintain accurate records of all reviews, findings, and actions taken to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Manage and address third-party diligence exceptions effectively.
- Compile and deliver necessary documentation to satisfy audit findings and requirements.
- Keep internal and external diligence statuses updated in our Loan Origination System (LOS).
- Participate in meetings and projects focused on quality control and process improvement initiatives.
**Education and Experience:**
To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in mortgage underwriting or a quality control role.
- A fast-paced individual with exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- A solid understanding of the mortgage banking industry, including underwriting, funding, and post-funding processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat (PDF editors).
