QA Document Control Specialist Location Lubbock, TX :

SUMMARY

Under minimal supervision, provide support services for quality document control system and document reproduction activities. Ensure compliance with ISO quality management system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, however, other duties may apply.)

  • Maintain quality records, administer and record change history, and implement approved QMS changes. Control obsolete documentation, including disposition of discontinued or inactive documentation
  • Trend supplier quality performance and ensure assessments and actions are completed as required. Maintain supplier quality records and provide quality rating feedback to suppliers
  • Check Inspection Reports against Weekly Dispatch Reports & create/update all Inspection reports for machining/receiving inspection
  • Update and create Inspection Tool Log Reports and attach in Epicor
  • Maintain gage calibration records
  • Ship gages to suppliers, customers, and calibration lab(s) as needed
  • Responsible for parts dock-to-stock activities and Quality KPI records
  • Prepare Sample Part Summary documentation for Supplier/Customer Approval and attach Summary Approvals and other quality documents in Epicor
  • Responsible for training employees on records management procedures and policies, which include documentation, retention, retrieval, destruction, and disaster recovery
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
  • Must be able to convey information effectively in writing, presentations, or speeches to other employees
  • Excellent problem-solving and conceptual skills with knowledge base of the manufacturing industry
  • Ambitious, motivated team playerwithstrongattention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal direction
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Strong time management and organizational skills required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Two years related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience in Excel and Word
  • Knowledge and experience with blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to file and maintain documents files
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and management

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Effectively communicate and understand instructions both verbally and written in the English language. Ability to effectively interpret and translate instructions to other employees in a professional and respectful manner.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to perform basic mathematical computations. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to interact successfully with all levels of staff, clients and vendors. Able to work in a collaborative process. Attention to detail, with excellent organizational skills, and ability to multi-task

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to lift 50 lbs. when required. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
