Job Description

Summary

IGT is seeking a Printing Press Production Manager in Lakeland, FL! This Production Manager leads all aspects of the Press Operations. It will lead all aspects of the shift efficiency, goals, projects, and process improvements. The person in this role will handle the activities relating to the execution of production, staffing, cost management, and quality standards. 

Lakeland is a high-speed printing and packaging operation. We supply instant scratch lottery tickets to players around the world!

Please Note: This is a 6pm-6am shift

Responsibilities

  • Directly lead Production/Press team members to ensure all are performing in a safe and efficient manner
  • Assess, document and deliver performance evaluations for employees under their leadership
  • Maintain, lead and develop personnel through effective hiring, training, performance management, and mentor
  • Work independently to resolve the day-to-day shift operational issues using job knowledge and expertise
  • Provide training and development to teams, employees and/or consultants, internally and externally
  • Responsible for the health and safety of all the employees and ensuring compliance with established regulations
  • Represent the Company to customers and the community Compliance
  • Maintaining compliance with all Federal, State and Local regulations that affect operations, while ensuring safety policies
  • Implement and make sure ISO level work instructions while participating in audits as needed
  • Carry out to and implement compliance to IGT and departmental policies, rules, and procedures at all times 
  • Meet or exceed objectives by developing and maintaining a proficient team engaged in the manufacturing/printing of the product
  • Documenting and recording performance data
  • Control costs of material, direct/indirect labor and equipment 
  • Coordinate the effective utilization of materials, equipment and staff in accordance with the production schedule and in collaboration with Packaging Manager
  • Ability to troubleshoot and address problems, recognize and proactively handle challenges
  • Keep control of production/printing process parameters and ensure excellence of product
  • Responsible for equipment integrity and upkeep in partnership with the Maintenance team
  • Identify continuous improvements of products, processes, quality, and costs while collaborating with other teams
  • Maintain and update production reports for production/press operations
  • Develop and drive Company and Department critical metrics

Qualifications

  • Follow all IGT policies related to Code of Conduct, Confidentiality, Information Security, Environmental Compliance, et al. Education Required
  • 5+ years in a leadership role with confirmed levels of growing responsibility
  • 3+ years in a production/printing or manufacturing environment, or other related experience in high-speed packaging to demonstrate technical expertise to handle operation Skills Required
  • Management - Skilled in the leadership of the press/printing operation. Cross-over responsibility for packaging operations.
  • Manufacturing - Knowledge of raw materials, methods, tools and processes involved in the packaging.
  • Engineering and Technology - Knowledge of the practical application of technologies used in high-speed printing
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations, health standards and safety compliance within a manufacturing environment to include familiarity with OSHA and safety regulations
  • Microsoft Office - Intermediate level or higher
  • Ability to perform tasks that include frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing stairs and/or kneeling Preferred 

Education, Experience or Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or experience in a related field 
  • Flexographic or Offset printing experience required
