AoPS Academy is a program of Art of Problem Solving (AoPS), a global leader in K–12 advanced education. AoPS is on a mission to discover, inspire, and train the great problem solvers of the next generation. Since 2003, AoPS has trained hundreds of thousands of the country’s top students through its online school, in-person academies, textbooks, and online learning systems. AoPS Academy offers unique problem solving curriculum at its in-person locations across the country as well as through the virtual campus.
The AoPS Academy in Frisco, TX is hiring part-time Language Arts Teaching Assistants (TAs) with strong reading, writing, and grammar skills to support our campus during the academic year. As a TA you may grade assignments, host regular office hours, and run on-demand 1-1 tutoring sessions. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to work with motivated younger students and contribute to the AoPS Academy community.
This is a part-time remote position for the 2025-26 Academic Year (August-May); TAs must be able to host virtual office hours. This role also has the potential to continue into our in-person summer programming.
Our academic year TAs contribute greatly to the success of our students and are an integral part of our Academy family. This may be a great fit for you if you enjoy interacting with students, providing feedback on writing assignments and essays, and helping students feel more confident about language arts concepts.
Academic year TAs work well independently and support students outside of their regular AoPS class time. TAs typically work with students from various classes/levels simultaneously to assist with homework and help students understand material they missed or may need further guidance on.
