What To Expect
Tesla is seeking a curious, engaging, and driven Instructional Designer to join the Collision Learning & Development (L&D) team. You will manage complex, multi-disciplinary programs, architect the approach, design objectives, work with subject matter experts and content designers to develop learning solutions and ensure effective and efficient implementation through all phases of the program(s). This position will be located in Fremont, CA. What You'll Do - Design and develop engaging, innovative, and effective instructor-led and eLearning training curricula and courses that, are completed in accordance with project plans, are standardized and compliant with our operating procedures and safety guidelines, are instructionally-sound, applying research based adult learning theories, are grammatically correct, are consistent with approved style guides, meet customer expectations and communicate complex learning concepts clearly and effectively
- Capture requirements, build training designs, develop content, deploy content, and evaluate results
- Partner with Learning Program Managers, Subject Matter Experts and Stakeholders to plan and scope requirements for curricula
- Champion the ADDIE process, work effectively in a cross functional environment, and align with standard operating procedures across training team
What You'll Bring - 5+ years of instructional design experience, automotive or collision industry preferred
- A minimum of two years as an instructional designer producing online and instructor lead training materials
- High proficiency and expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, advanced experience in PowerPoint and SharePoint required
- Experience with learning and content management systems and platforms including Articulate Storyline and Rise preferred
- Deep understanding of adult learning theory and application
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills with ability to successfully deliver and communicate complex technical training concepts
- Proven time management, organizational skills, project planning, assessment, and providing feedback. 25% travel domestically and international based on business needs

Expected Compensation
$80,000 - $120,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
