Job Description

Summary

The Industrial Engineering I role is an entry level position responsible for performing routine engineering functions on assigned projects or sub-projects of a general nature and limited scope by applying standard mathematical, physical science, and/or engineering technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversees product packaging process and activities
• Prepares written work instructions for packaging operations based on drawing specifications
• Ensures compliance with US Department of Transportation and international regulations for the shipment of hazardousmaterials.
• Designs and fabricates packaging for a variety of products.
• Interacts with design agencies, suppliers and internal departments to assist in resolving design, development, production and acceptanceissues
• Requires certification training in the shipment of hazardous materials per 49CFR/IATA
• Supports continuous improvement projects and capacity forecasting

You Must Have

• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
• Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Physics from an ABET accredited program.
• United States Citizenship
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)

• Previous relevant internship experience or equivalent preferred
• Demonstrated analytical skills, mathematical computations, computer software applications, and written documentation.
• Demonstrated established technical methodologies to routine engineering projects.
• Experience in packaging techniques and procedures.
• Experience in 49 CFR/IATA
