Job Description

FFR in Visalia, CA is looking for one house manager to join our 14 person strong team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and reliable.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support direct care staff in delivering exceptional care to residents.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on resident needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of resident behavior records and progress.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and health regulations within the facility.
  • Conduct regular assessments of resident conditions and adjust care plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the administrator to coordinate comprehensive care for residents.
  • Address any concerns or issues raised by residents or their families promptly and effectively.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss resident care strategies and improvements.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities Level 4I or above
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a focus on team collaboration and support.
  • Experienced DSP
  • Ability to write and understand daily shift notes
  • DSP1, DSP2, CCLD clearance
  • Behavioral Support: Provide guidance and oversight for individuals with high behavioral needs (Level 4I), including ensuring appropriate behavior management strategies are in place and followed
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure the facility remains in compliance with all Title 17 and Title 22 regulations, including accurate documentation, proper reporting, and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Home Administrator to develop and implement operational strategies that improve resident outcomes and staff performance.
  • Resident Care: Provide individualized support for residents, ensuring that their needs (medical, behavioral, and personal) are met in a safe and compassionate environment.
  • Crisis Management: Handle and de-escalate crisis situations as needed, ensuring that the safety of residents and staff is prioritized.
  • Training & Development: Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for staff to improve their skills and understanding of best practices in developmental and intellectual disabilities care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of incidents, behavior plans, and staff performance, ensuring all documentation complies with state and federal guidelines.
