The Excavator Operator will skillfully operate and maintain excavators and backhoes on mass earthwork projects.

Compensation

$55.00 - $65.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various-sized excavators and backhoes
• Operates other types of standard heavy civil construction equipment
• Performs various general labor tasks
• Conducts thorough equipment inspections
• Performs basic fueling and lubrication of equipment
• Performs necessary maintenance and preventative maintenance to assigned machinery and equipment as directed

Education

High school diploma/GED

Requirements/Qualifications

• Class A or C license with a clean driving record
• Able to safely and proficiently operate excavators and backhoes on various terrains
• Familiar with mass earthmoving, remove and replace flatwork and underground best practices and principles
• Able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and able to work in a safety-conscious manner
• PREFERRED :
• GPS experience
• Class A license
• Experience in equipment maintenance
• Proficiently operate scrapers, loader, compactors, dozers, etc.

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
