The world of investing is fascinating yet complex. While hundreds of first -time investors are turning to the markets to help pay for their homes, send their children to college and secure their futures the mission of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is becoming all the more vital.  GDIT is excited to support the SEC in as it seeks to protect investors, maintain fair, orderly, and efficient markets, and facilitate capital formation.

The SEC ISS program is a comprehensive IT program charged with operating, managing, and advancing the SEC’s IT infrastructure. Our dynamic program team of IT leaders and large and small business partners is seeking bright, energetic and talented individuals to join us as we bring our innovative IT Service Delivery solutions to SEC.

We are looking for a dynamic, high performing Enterprise Program Governance Lead the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Candidates must be US Citizens (without dual citizenship) and able to obtain Public Trust clearance, per contract requirements.

Position Duties: 

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management and accountability of the enterprise projects related to IT Service Management

  • Lead the program governance activities to include review, investigate, and host service improvements, issues, and risk review meetings

  • Ensure compliance with program quality assurance and control requirements

  • Discover, analyze, and conduct risk and issue assessments and report trends

  • Assist with developing the monthly governance agenda

  • Support enterprise communications plan

  • Supervises all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and is responsible to ensure project is meeting milestones and deliverables

  • Defines project scope and objectives

  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports

  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis

  • Responsible for all aspects of project oversight and all risk mitigation

  • Responsible for leading all internal and customer briefings for assigned projects

Required Experience: 

  • At least 8 years of related experience leading and managing IT projects, specializing in IT infrastructure and operations, to include service delivery, IT infrastructure systems, and solution development.

  • PMP Certification is required

  • This role requires a strategic thinker who can develop and implement change management strategies that maximize employee adoption and minimize resistance.

  • Direct experience supporting federal government agencies is required

  • Required areas of expertise include Change Management, Quality Control, & Governance Oversight

  • Candidates must have extensive experience creating and managing multiple concurrent projects plans

  • Candidates are required to have strong experience in Problem Management, Business Process Management, Organizational Change and Communications

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required

  • Candidates must have a demonstrated history leading both internal and customer briefings, with the ability to communicate ideas, project plans, risk strategy, along with status updates clearly and concisely

  • Candidates must have experience briefing senior government leadership in both written documentation and direct briefing meetings
