Job Description

John Paul II Academy is currently seeking full-time elementary teachers for the 2025-2026 school year. We are a Pre-K through 8th Catholic elementary school in Louisville, KY with a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment. Our small class sizes allow for individualized attention. Qualifications:

A shared dedication to the Catholic identity and mission of John Paul II Academy
Bachelor's degree or higher
Valid Kentucky teaching certificate or working toward certification preferred.
Excellent communication skills
Discretion and sound judgment
Resilient commitment to compassionately serving students from diverse ethnic, socioeconomic, cultural, religious, and academic backgrounds

Responsibilities include:

Model the Catholic faith and Gospel values for all students
Collaborating with a highly motivated faculty to create the best overall educational experience for our students
Tailoring instruction to the needs of individual students
Integrating technology and 21st century skills
Providing a faith-filled and nurturing environment for students to grow in virtue
