Summary of Job Description

Responsible for the strategic direction and execution of the hotel’s housekeeping operations. The Director of Housekeeping implements strategies that deliver performance and guest service to meet and exceed the needs and expectations of ownership, the Sheraton Brand, guests, and associates while maximizing the financial performance and return on investment.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 based on experience. This position may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses.

Work Hours

  • Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs.
  • Scheduling includes holidays, nights, and weekends depending on hotel events and functions.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of housekeeping professionals to achieve the highest standards of service and cleanliness.
  • Recruit, train, and develop talent, fostering a culture of accountability, motivation, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish departmental goals and ensure alignment with the hotel’s mission, vision, and financial objectives.
  • Cultivate strong cross-departmental collaboration to enhance the guest experience.

Operational Excellence & Quality Assurance

  • Oversee the daily operations of Housekeeping and Laundry, ensuring adherence to brand standards and operational best practices.
  • Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to maintain quality and cleanliness.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules, deep-cleaning programs, and inventory control processes.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including third-party housekeeping and laundry services, to ensure optimal performance.

Financial & Strategic Management

  • Develop and manage department budgets, controlling labor costs and operating expenses while maintaining quality service.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising guest satisfaction.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and regulatory requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven leadership experience in a high-volume, full-service hotel or resort setting.
  • Bilingual in Spanish & English to effectively communicate with team members and guests.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and expense management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make quick, effective decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel management software.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. regularly and perform physical tasks as needed.
