Job Summary (Category Manager - Technology Procurement)


- Lead sourcing and supplier strategy for technology categories such as software, information security, digital workplace solutions, computing, and storage infrastructure.
- Analyze technology spend, assess market benchmarks, and develop business cases for executive decision-making.
- Collaborate with technology leaders and sourcing teams to execute supplier strategies, including RFPs and direct negotiations.
- Act as a strategic advisor by providing insights and recommendations for sourcing decisions and value generation.
- Monitor market trends and emerging technologies to identify innovative sourcing opportunities and optimize costs.
- Oversee and facilitate contract development, supplier selection, and coordination with legal, finance, and technical teams.
- Utilize data analytics to inform sourcing strategy and drive performance improvements.
- Lead cross-functional teams, manage complex negotiations, and structure high-value software contracts.
- Build relationships and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels, including executive leadership.
- Require experience managing technology spend categories, especially enterprise software and cloud-based services.
- Must be self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work in a dynamic, matrixed environment with a focus on stakeholder alignment.
