We're Hiring: Part-Time Freelance Bookkeeper (Remote/Flexible) Are you a detail-oriented, highly proficient bookkeeper with a passion for supporting small businesses across a wide range of industries? Our growing accounting firm is looking for a seasoned freelance bookkeeper to join our team on a part-time basis. This flexible role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely financials. What You’ll Do: • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple small business clients • Reconcile bank and credit card statements with precision • Process payroll and handle payroll tax filings • Maintain general ledgers and produce clean financial reports • Collaborate with accountants and CPAs to ensure smooth tax prep • Provide support across various industries — from retail to real estate What We’re Looking For: • Minimum 10 years of bookkeeping experience (freelance or firm-based) • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks (Online and Desktop), Gusto, and other cloud-based systems • Ability to juggle multiple clients and deadlines with excellence • Clear, professional communication skills • A proactive problem-solver with high integrity and reliability Perks of Working With Us: • Flexible hours to fit your lifestyle • Remote work — serve clients from wherever you are • Join a values-driven team that’s passionate about empowering business owners Responsibilities: • Prepare all financial statements and bank reconciliations • Process payroll to provide payment to employees on time • Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct daybook, suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger • Complete bookkeeping duties: Data entry and record maintenance • Properly record financial transactions Qualifications: • Worked previously with basic accounting systems, QuickBooks, and Excel • Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or similar field • Exceptional knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) • Must exhibit exemplary problem-solving, communication, and time management skills About Company: The Income Tax Center has been in business since 1995, serving thousands of individual and business taxpayers across the nation.
