Job Description

Job Details:

BMS Programmer – Engineer $80K to $150K 

  • Programming: Writing and modifying code to control and manage building systems (HVAC, lighting, security, etc.). 
  • Commissioning: Testing and ensuring the BMS functions correctly according to specifications. 
  • Maintenance: Troubleshooting, repairing, and updating the BMS software and hardware. 
  • System Integration: Integrating new technologies and upgrades into existing BMS systems. 
  • Problem Solving: Diagnosing and resolving issues related to BMS performance and functionality. 
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of system configurations, modifications, and troubleshooting procedures. 
  • Training: Instructing end-users on how to operate and maintain the BMS. 
  • Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams, including IT, mechanical engineers, and project managers. 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in relevant programming languages
  • Knowledge of Building Automation Systems: Understanding of building management systems, HVAC, lighting, security, and other integrated systems. 
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues with the BMS. 
  • Communication and Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with other engineers, technicians, and end-users. 
  • Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Degree: Preferred but not required. 
  • Experience with BMS systems: At least 3 years of experience in BMS programming or related fields.
