Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

• Prepare patients for examinations, including taking vital signs, medical history, and recording symptoms.
• Assist physicians during exams and procedures.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider.
• Collect and process lab specimens, including blood draws and urine samples.
• Perform basic diagnostic tests, such as EKGs and vision screenings.
• Sterilize medical instruments and maintain exam room cleanliness.
• Educate patients on medication instructions, treatment plans, and follow-up care.

Administrative Duties:

• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate referrals.
• Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR).
• Verify insurance information and process billing and coding tasks.
• Answer phones, assist with patient inquiries, and manage front desk operations.
• Handle patient check-in/check-out procedures and collect co-pays.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program (CMA or RMA certification preferred).
• 1+ years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting (preferred but not required).
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and patient service skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
