Come aboard the ARK and join our team as an Assistant Project Manager!

Summary:

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for supporting the project manager with the execution of low voltage system projects in accordance with project budgets, code compliance, and managing the field operations team works quality and work production.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversight for all project phases, including coordinating workers, materials, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
  • Review design drawings for conformance with regulations, project specifications, and local and national standards.
  • Project manage, and coordinate installations and commissioning for assigned projects.
  • Perform field surveys.
  • Provide support, guidance, and expertise to the field operations and engineering teams.
  • Manage project schedules and manpower planning forecasts.
  • Interface with customers including contractors and end users.
  • Read and interpret project specifications and system designs on blueprints.
  • Ability to estimate and propose change orders on projects.
  • Able to work in a team environment and display qualities of initiative.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Customer-focused, skilled in project and people management.
  • Ability to manage job scheduling and job progress in an efficient and cost-effective manner, with a strong focus on quality.
  • Proficient in issue resolution.
  • Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.

Education and Experience:

  • 2 - 4 years of experience with commercial low voltage systems including video, security access control or fire systems.
  • 1 – 2 years of experience as a project manager in the commercial industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of the NEC/NFPA code requirements.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.

Physical Requirements:

  • Traveling to jobsites.
  • Working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 100lbs or more at times.
