Instructor $1477.28 per credit
Assistant Professor $1526.25 per credit
Associate Professor $1575.65 per credit
Professor $1625.04 per credit
Position Summary:
Manhattan University seeks a part-time Adjunct Professor of Philosophy to teach a range of courses, such as Introduction to Philosophy and Ethics for the Spring 2025 semester. Professors should be adept at teaching reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. We encourage a global, pluralistic, and inclusive approach to the discipline and to pedagogy.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Introduction to Philosophy and/or Introduction to Ethics to undergraduate students at all levels and in disciplines outside of Philosophy
Creative approaches to critical pedagogy and writing across the curriculum, and dedication to equitable undergraduate liberal arts education is desired
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters or Ph.D. (preferred) in Philosophy (or related field)
Candidates with a proven record of excellence in teaching and who diversify the canon will be preferred.
