Corporate Finance plans, tracks, analyzes and reports financial results, manages the company’s balance sheet, including funding, capital and investments oversees internal real estate needs drives acquisitions responsible for financial controls and leads corporate strategy.

Corporate Finance identifies areas of financial risk and mitigates efforts appropriately; it works with capital markets to provide lowest possible costs of incremental funding, subject to capital and financial risk management constraints. It improves financial performance by analyzing business unit performance and recommending areas of improvement. Our company’s Wholesale Controllers Group has an opportunity for a motivated accounting professional. This group is focused on maintain strong financial controls, providing accurate financial reporting, ensuring proper accounting via robust processes, and utilizing automated/complex tools.

This position will be part of the company’s Wholesale Group Controllers team that supports WF Capital Finance (WFCF), a line of business in the Wholesale Division. The accountant will perform activities associated with maintain ledger accounts and developing financial risks mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Application of accounting policies and procedures that impact WFCF to reconciliations and entries
  • Preparing journal entries during the month-end close process (accruals, prepaids, reclassifications, etc.)
  • Reviewing transactions and balances from the general ledger, unit reports and various finical loan systems to ensure accuracy
  • Reconciling key GL Accounts
  • Record entries related to the insurance premium company known as Flatlron
  • Working with Finance and HR to ensure bonuses, Dom. & Int’l, are recorded and agree with Outlook
  • Perform monthly TDR review to identify possible additional population for Risk review
  • Analysis of credit A/R balance and re-class to proper liability account
  • Ad-hoc projects
Required Work Experience, Qualifications &/or Education:
  • GroupBox1
  • 2+ years of accounting experience
  • 1-3 years’ experience
Desired Qualifications
  • GroupBox 1
  • A BS/BA degree of higher in accounting
  • CPA-Certified Public Accountant designated
  • Strong accounting skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • A master of Business Administration or designation as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles: statutory and GAAP
  • A BS/Ba degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement to identify and resolve problems
  • Customer service experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
